Coremax's 100 kW high-voltage lithium battery energy storage system (BESS) uses a 768 V DC architecture to combine power conversion and battery storage for solar generation and industrial power applications. The integrated design is intended to support efficient energy dispatch and power reliability as renewable generation increases on the grid. The system's technical features, operating modes and safety management are outlined below.
The BESS integrates a power conversion system (PCS) with battery packs and supports configurations ranging from 100 kWh to 200 kWh. An energy management system (EMS) controls power flows to address the intermittent output of photovoltaic generation and differences in grid electricity tariffs.
The system can operate in three primary modes, depending on site conditions and tariff structures:
In all modes, the EMS coordinates storage and discharge activity to match generation, load and tariff conditions.
The published specifications for the 100 kW system are summarized below.
| Technical metric | Specification |
|---|---|
| Maximum output power | 100 kW |
| System DC voltage | 768 V DC |
| System efficiency | 97.5% |
| Battery management architecture | Three-tier architecture (BMU, CMU, GPC) |
The system is designed to address safety and controllability across the full lifecycle of energy storage, not only the storage function itself. Its battery management system uses a three-tier architecture comprising BMU, CMU and GPC, providing high-precision signal detection and active balancing to support consistency across battery packs.
The system also incorporates intelligent thermal management and redundant power supply design. High-performance DSP and software control are used to improve operating efficiency while seeking to minimize fault risk.
